User Terms

Effective date: August 5, 2026

Opening QR Code & Barcode Scanner means accepting these User Terms, agreed between you and Abra Cadabra Innovations, covering the app and the pages published for it.

Reading Codes

Whether a code is recognised, and how quickly, depends on print quality, damage to the symbol, lighting, camera hardware, distance, and the standard the code was written in. Successful recognition of every symbol is not promised, and a decoded value is reproduced as the code carries it rather than verified for accuracy.

What a Code Leads To

Codes are created by other people. A symbol may point to a website, a payment page, a network, or a message that is misleading, unsafe, or nothing like what its surroundings suggest. The app shows you the destination first so you can decide, but it does not vouch for it, does not screen it for fraud, and takes no part in what happens once you continue. Abra Cadabra Innovations bears no responsibility for third-party destinations or for losses that follow from opening one.

Paid Access and Store Billing

Where paid access exists, its price, term, renewal behaviour, and any trial appear before you confirm the purchase. Apple charges and administers subscriptions bought inside the iOS app, and renewal, cancellation, and refund handling sit inside your Apple account under App Store rules.

Trials, Cancellation, and Refunds

A trial, where offered, rolls into a paid term unless cancelled before it ends. Cancelling halts the next charge and leaves earlier charges in place. Apple reviews refund requests under its own policy, so billing disputes are raised there rather than with us.

Feature Availability

Which functions you see may depend on subscription state, store region, installed version, device capability, and the availability of the services behind them. Features may be revised, restricted, or withdrawn where the law allows.

Outside Services

The app leans on external services for purchases, analytics, attribution, diagnostics, and hosting, and on Apple for distribution. Their terms and policies apply to their side of the arrangement alongside these ones.

Acceptable Use

Do not use the app to break the law or to help anyone else do so. That includes producing or scanning codes in order to deceive, replacing legitimate codes with your own, avoiding payment for tickets or goods, gaining entry you are not entitled to, spreading harmful links, interfering with the service, defeating access controls, or copying protected parts of the product, except where mandatory law says otherwise.

Intellectual Property

The QR Code & Barcode Scanner name, interface, artwork, software, and supporting text belong to Abra Cadabra Innovations or its licensors. The text you enter into the generator, and the codes you build from it, stay yours.

Disclaimer

The app is supplied as it stands, with no promise of uninterrupted service, flawless recognition, compatibility with every device or symbol standard, or suitability for any particular purpose. Scanning is not a substitute for checking a source you have reason to doubt.

Responsibility Limits

Outside the liability that mandatory law keeps in place, we do not answer for indirect or consequential loss, for financial harm arising from a destination you chose to open, for lost data, for downtime costs, or for punitive awards connected with use of the app.

Termination

Access may be suspended or ended where these terms are broken, where the app is misused, where legal risk arises, or where law or platform rules require it. You may end this agreement by removing the app.

Revisions

These terms are updated from time to time as the app develops, and the date beside the title marks the version in force. Continuing with the app after a revision means accepting the current text.
